Your Perfect Cure for the Winter Blues

Is anyone else besides me sick of icky winter weather? Don't get me wrong, I love winter and snow and everything, but I love summer more!! Here are 5 great tips to get you psyched&motivated for summer!

1. Make an inspiration board - trapped beneath the depths of winter? Got Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)? A great way to spend a lazy Sunday or snow-day is to make an inspiration board. Gather up some of your fave magazines (ones you don't mind tearing up), scissors, glue, glitter(optional, but who doesn't love glitter??), a poster board and make a collage. Magazines like Teen Vogue and Seventeen are great for this. Make a board with your fave fashion ideas, recipes, summer collages, beauty products, high fashion ads, or anything else you can think of. Have fun!

2. Plan your perfect gettaway - a sure way to get your spirits up is to work on travel locations and specifications 4 your next vacation. Pick a location, a house or hotel, and plan the activities&site-seeing you'll do in your location. Plan your gettaway with your bff--you'll have something to talk about and look forward to when you're feeling a bit chilly!

3. Make a playlist - cheer up by making a playlist with songs that give you nostalgia of summertime. Still in a wintry mood, but feeling kind of down? Make a playlist with some of your fave peppy, bubbly songs that are season-neutral. There's nothing like a great song to make you smile!

4. Hit the gym! - get the perfect swimsuit-ready body, a little before swimsuit season! Getting totally out of shape during winter then waiting until a couple weeks before spring break to start working out is what a lot of us do. But why not look your best, all year round? Go to the gym & stick to a routine. Also: try to pump yourself up by buying that perfect swimsuit a little early for motivation!

5. Plan a Party - It doesn't need to be holiday season or spring break to have a fun party with your best friends. Think of something creative, like a President's Day Weekend party, a Valentine's Masquerade, or a midterm bash! Put up fun decorations and think of an interesting theme for your party.
